What to do if my pool cleaner does not move or is moving very slowly?
*Check pool filter. Backwash or clean if necessary to improve water flow which will increase suction, *Check skimmer and pump baskets and remove leaves and other debris, *Make sure pump is filling up properly and that the water coming back into the pool is strong. If not this could indicate a blockage and may require a visit by one of our technicians.
What can I do if my pool cleaner gets stuck in a particular spot in the pool?
*Make sure the swivel is moving freely, *Adjust the hose length by adding or removing a section of hose, *Make sure the return to pool water flow is not interfering with the movement of the pool cleaner, *Attach a deflector ring on to the pool cleaner swivel.
How do I get rid of a green algae bloom?
Brush any visible wall algae into the water and superchlorinate the pool with liquid or granular chlorine, running the filtration for at least 6 hours afterwards. If your pool water becomes cloudy and does not clear quick enough with normal filtration you may need to add a floccing agent to send all the suspended dead algae in the water to the bottom of the pool so it can vacuumed out to waste.
What to check if my water testing indicates low free chlorine?
If pool water testing indicates low or no free chlorine make sure your other levels are balanced - especially stabiliser. If these levels are out the chlorine being added does not last long. If these levels are good, the quantity or frequency of your chlorine dosing may need to be increased, or if saltwater chloinated then the running time or output may need to increased.

This is the worst experience I have had with tradies in my 67 years of experience. They tried to tell me the chlorinator was not large enough and that I needed to replace it and they wouldn't do any cleaning or anything unless I replaced the chlorinator. They swore at me and abused me profusely when I disagreed with their diagnosis on the basis of my 22 years experience with the pool. Over those years my pool has always used the same size chlorinator and has always been able to generate enough chlorine for the pool - often too much. Yes, sometimes I let the salt levels run down and had to treat for algae. That's what I did this time and I just wanted them to clean it up for me. But no, because they couldn't con me into buying something I didn't need, they not only would not provide the service, but they abused me profusely and repeatedly. As a final check before posting this review, I researched the chlorinator I have on the net and it is suitable for pools up to 70,000 litres. My pool is 43,000. That is conclusive proof of my correctness in my refusal to fall for their lies. Do not trust these guys as far as you can throw them. Totally dishonest, Totally disinterested in customer service. Abusive and arrogant. They are out to fleece you at every opportunity and will abuse you if you do not fall for their lies. P.S., they also said the pool cleaner I was using was another problem. Perhaps they might not have said that if they had known that it was their own company who sold it to me. I rest my case!

Apparently one of the “owners” came to our home after waiting 2 weeks. We simply need a clean as we had a clorinator fail and couldn’t clean the pool ourselves. Ian or Rob asked who we bought our chlorinator off. As soon as we told him Pool & Spa Warehouse he exploded into “I’ve been doing this 31 years. They’ve been doing this 1 year” Proceeded to tell us our robotic cleaner isn’t atiquate, the pump has had it and too small & the pool needed to be cleaned and swept & diluted.
I agreed to pay the $400 to clean it to his reply, it’ll be another 2 weeks. This was just to quote the job. Two weeks to quote a job? Another 2 to do it?
The reason I started using Pool & Spa is you sold me our first robotic cleaner a couple of years ago and the tracks kept coming off. You told us no warranty as my kids must be riding on it. We pulled it out of the water when they were in there.
Then when Poolrite went bust, we asked for Minerals you told us to just use salt. It’s the same thing. That wrecked the filter!
Pool & Spa Warehouse were too busy & told us 3 weeks to cone and clean the pool. Not quote. We made the mistake of going back to you as our solar guy recommended you.
The way you spoke to me on the phone I garrentee you wouldn’t have to my face.
I called into the store when you stomped out of our home in front of my wife & they were equally as rude and protective of your name. If you want me to post the conversation you had on all media, let me know. All my phone calls go through a vioP system stored in iCloud. If you’re the owner, I can’t believe you’re still in business.
