      I have heard solar is not worth it as the feed in is only 10c?

      All new solar systems are NET metered. This means your solar power will power your house during the day and only the left over or excess power goes back to the grid. Every kWh your system produces is saving you the amount you pay for power which is now over 30c per Kwh. The excess is then credited at 10c.


      How long will my batteries last?

      It depends on how you use them. If you discharge them very hard very fast every day then they will not last anywhere near as long as only slowly discharging them half way. The biggest thing we see destroying GEL batteries is not enough panels to give them a good charge. If looked after you should see 10+ years out of quality batteries. Cheap batteries may only last 2-3 years.


      How much will I save with solar?

      This depends on how you use your power and if you able to change your habits to adapt to solar. As a guide a 5kw system would save you between $400 - $600 per quarter or $35 - $50 per week.

      Is there government rebates for solar?

      Yes, there is. There is a rebate known as a small trading certificate (STC) this rebate would be taken off your system price at the time of quoting. We would then use that rebate to cover some of the costs. This is the way all solar companies operate as we have accounts set up with STC trading companies.
