FAQschevron down

What is a Hazardous Materials Survey?

A survey identifies hazardous materials like asbestos and lead in buildings, which is required before renovation or demolition.

When is an asbestos assessment needed?

Asbestos assessments are essential before disturbing materials in buildings constructed prior to 2003 or during workplace chemical use.

What is a constructed wetland system?

It’s an energy-efficient, low-maintenance treatment method using natural processes, ideal for secondary or polishing wastewater and greywater treatment.

What happens at the end of the project?

Once we have finished the reporting component of your project, we will email a PDF copy to you with the invoice attached. We will also send out a survey so you can provide feedback if you like. If you have any questions about the report, please give us a call and we can clarify everything for you.

What is your company vision?

Our company vision is ‘Working as a team to create true wealth by nurturing the environment and inspiring community’. The heart of our business is not just about making a profit. While that’s fantastic for our shareholders, it is not our only business driver. As we all know there are other key performance indicators we all live by.

What happens if I would like to go ahead?

Please reply in writing (via email is perfect). We will then give you a call to arrange a site inspection (if needed) and collect any other information to get the job done. We will also provide a ‘finish date’ so you can continue planning your project with the reassurance you will have the information you need when you need it.

How are asbestos samples tested?

Samples are tested at NATA-accredited laboratories, ensuring reliable analysis of asbestos content and airborne fibre levels.

What happens when I call the Ecoteam office?

We answer the phone promptly and you are referred to a technical professional right from the start. We will record your details and provide you with a written quote within 24 hours.

What payment methods do you accept? What are your payment terms?

We have 14 day payment terms for private customers and 30 day payment terms for local and state governments. We prefer direct transfers to our bank account for ease of administration. If this does not suit, please let us know and we will work something out that suits you.

What if I just want a ballpark estimate?

We have fixed rates for some services and can estimate prices for others. We prefer to send out a detailed quote (if possible) so you have all of the information at hand during your decision making process. Then, if you decide to go ahead, we have all of the information ready to go, with no hidden costs or surprises. The benefit of a written quote is that everyone knows where they stand - right from the start

What if I find a cheaper price?

We have undertaken detailed cost analysis for each of our jobs, and include all items so there are no hidden surprises later. We do not want to hit you with project variations for common items that should have been included in the first place.

What water quality services does Ecoteam provide?

We offer water sampling, risk assessments, environmental impact studies, and ongoing monitoring for surface and groundwater systems.

What happens after hazardous materials are found?

We provide a detailed report, management plan, and removal scope to ensure safe handling and regulatory compliance.

What types of wastewater systems does Ecoteam offer?

We provide constructed wetlands, aerated systems, rotating biological contactors, and compact treatment plants for domestic, commercial, and municipal use.

How does Ecoteam support waste management?

We provide on-site waste handling, volume calculations, recycling strategies, green waste conversion, clean-up, and contaminated land assessments.

What expertise does Ecoteam have in wetlands?

We specialise in wetland design, installation, maintenance, health assessments, riparian restoration, and stormwater pollution treatment solutions.

What happens during the project? Will you keep me up to date with progress?

Yes! We will keep you up to date every step of the way. We will call and email to provide progress updates and to clarify things with you as needed. If you prefer to be left alone, we are more than happy to get on with the job. Please let us know your expectations.

Are your staff licensed and accredited?

Yes, all Ecoteam staff are accredited professionals, including licensed asbestos assessors using industry-standard equipment and practices.

Can treated wastewater be reused?

Yes, our mop crop systems reuse treated effluent for irrigation, supporting environmental regeneration and producing resources like timber and fruit.

Do you work with government agencies?

Yes, we collaborate with government bodies on environmental impact statements, regulatory compliance, and project assessments throughout all phases.

Are Ecoteam’s systems suitable for rural properties?

Yes, we design onsite sewage solutions tailored to rural properties, considering site conditions and budget constraints for optimal performance.

Do you service remote communities?

Yes, we manage complete water and sewerage systems for remote Aboriginal communities, including emergency support and local employment training.

Is your laboratory accredited?

Yes, we work with a NATA-accredited laboratory to ensure accurate, reliable water quality testing and reporting.

What is a constructed wetland?

• Constructed wetlands are engineered ecosystems designed to treat wastewater including sewage, stormwater and agricultural runoff. • Wetland water treatment systems use plants and naturally occurring microorganisms to reduce nutrients, pathogens and sediments which are present is wastewater. • Constructed wetlands can treat wastewater to a high level, and they have a number of advantages which may include lower construction and operation costs, and environmental and aesthetic benefits.

What is so ‘eco’ about Ecoteam? Are you a green business?

• Yes, we certainly are. We walk the talk when it comes to environmental sustainability. • Our entire vehicle feet is Carbon Neutral. • Our electricity supply is Carbon Neutral • We use soy ink for printing. • Our paper is 100% recycled post-consumer waste. • We have a compost worm farm for our green waste. • And we are avid recyclers!
