Is chiropractic care safe?

To be chiropractic in Australia, the candidate must first complete at least 5 years of rigorous university training.

Do chiropractors just treat back and neck ailments?

Chiropractic treatments are primarily applied to the spinal region, as such many individuals incorrectly assume that chiropractors treat only back and neck ailments. While we do quickly and effectively eliminate back and neck pain, it's not the only goal. The objective is to restore and optimise human health. In fact, according to a statement from The Association of Chiropractic Colleges, "The purpose of chiropractic is to optimise health."

What do chiropractors do?

Chiropractors treat the spinal column to restore proper alignment, much like the way the dentist fixes the teeth. However there is one major difference. The spinal column houses a critical part of the body's nervous system, the spinal cord, which is responsible for the transmission of nerve impulses or messages to and from the brain. This free-flow of nerve impulses is necessary to allow the body to function optimally.
