Maldon Hospital was established in a small wooden building in 1859. In 1860 the Men’s Ward was constructed, later in 1862 a Woman’s Ward was added and then the central Administrative Block in 1867. Recent additions have created a modern Hospital that provides residential aged care facilities, acute care, a medical service and additional health services. The Hospital is located in a picturesque setting part way up Mount Tarrangower, giving residents a panoramic view of the surrounding country.
