What happens if a committee member resigns?
If a committee member resigns, they must be replaced within one month. The committee can appoint a new member or call an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to fill the vacancy.
How can we address a committee member’s breach of the code of conduct?
The body corporate can issue a breach notice and, after the notice period, consider a motion to remove the member from office.
Can an executive member hold multiple roles?
Yes, an eligible voting member can hold two or three executive positions. However, the committee still needs to fill the vacancy created by the resignation.
