7) My dog is rubbing its bottom along the ground what could cause this?
Dogs Rubbing their bottom along the ground can be caused by worms, full or abscessed anal glands or skin allergies. A vet check can help to determine the best course of treatment.
5) How often do I need to worm my pet?
Intestinal worming needs to be done every 3 months as an adult pet. Puppies and kittens need to initially, be done more frequently, as they may have had worms passed on from the mother.
6) My dog or cat’s breath smells what could it be?
Most commonly bad smelling breath is a result of tartar on the teeth or teeth that are loose and rotten. It is important to get a vet check as bacteria from the teeth can circulate in the blood stream and start to affect other organs such as the heart and kidneys.

Yes, desexing surgery on both male and female pets is a day procedure and they can go home in the afternoon of the same day.

Yes, our vets can treat both large and small animals and come out to your property.
1) Are there paralysis ticks in the area and how can we protect our dog or cat against them?
Yes, this area has the paralysis ticks year-round. They are more frequently found in the summer or after it has rained. They affect both cats and dog and if left untreated can be fatal. Prevention for dogs is by a monthly chewable tablet – Nexgaurd or 3 monthly chewable table Bravecto Prevention for cats is a by a 3-monthly spot on the back of the neck solution – Bravecto.
