The manager Richard refused to refund or give store credit $65 in delivery cost for a delivery that the driver spilled 1000 wine bottles onto the ground and smashed half of them. I had to collect the replacement pallet myself and therefore wanted a refund on the freight which was not successful. Richard said my (flat and normal) driveway wasn't suitable for delivery and therefore my fault that the driver rammed the pallet at high speed into the garage concrete and spilled them all, that's funny when I've had many deliveries here in the past. He said the (unusable) bottles that didn't smash (but were contaminated in the dirt and possibly have micro-fractures) should be my compensation. He said because a few loose boxes of bottle caps got delivered successfully that I did in fact get a successful delivery. He said other places are more expensive and I should be happy with what I got. He then proceeded to hang up in my face.
Nice. Lost a customer and potentially more to save $65, very smart move.
