      Our goal is to make your hearing as good as it can be!

      He originally started serving the local community of Mitcham in the Whites Shopping Centre. It wasn’t until the 1980s that he moved the business to our current address at 501 Mitcham Road, Mitcham. In 1981 Ian decided to start serving the people of Geelong – Geelong Hearing Aid Services was born, Initially offering appointments at Pardeys Pharmacy in Belmont.

      Most repairs are done in house. However, in some cases the aid may be sent to the manufacturer. A loan aid may be provided while your hearing aid is under a repair. We provide quality batteries for all types of hearing aids. Batteries can be ordered by phone and be delivered by mail. Pensioners and Veterans may obtain maintenance of their hearing aids and regular supply of batteries on payment of an annual fee (Veterans maybe exempt). Batteries and repairs for WorkCover clients are at no cost to them and are covered by the WorkCover Insurer.

      Hearing aids can significantly improve the user’s communication and can return the hearing impaired to full and active lifestyle. With hearing aids most people can hear their family and friends more easily and enjoy being in a group conversations without asking people to repeat themselves all the time. They can watch TV at a normal level, hear warning signals and hear more easily in phone conversations. Hearing aids are proven to improve quality of life by reducing the negative impact of hearing loss.

      It is not always easy to notice at first. That is why many people have a difficult time believing and accepting, that they have a hearing loss. People might begin turning up the volume on the TV, or asking other people to repeat themselves. When hearing starts to fade, people tend to forget how things sound. They start to live in a quieter world, unaware that they are missing the softer sounds of everyday life, like the patter of raindrops on the roof or the sound of birds singing.
