Would not go near Country Living Homes. Everything in this list is factual and occurred. Initial experience with sales and design consultant was great. Once the build started the relationship turned.
- Where initial pricing for items where quoted at full price, when removed from the design only received a marginal return on quoted item.
- Lack of Communication and Ownership of issues was overwhelming
- Selections we made changes to were not clearly identified of the impact, where a basin was changed we weren't informed of the changed required to the tap/spout.
- Footings were poured to the incorrect dimensions, resulting in the framing sitting 25mm over the edge of the slab. Rectification took 2 attempts to resolve.
- Strip Footing was also incorrectly positioned, as the verandah post didn't align correctly and was bolted to 10mm of surface concrete.
- Truss had broken member. Connections and Tie Downs required rectification. Quality of assembly was poor.
- Site drainage was supposed to be managed to ensure the footings are protected from subsidence, after 2 heavy storms, the builder then decided to put temporary drainage in.
- Meter box position was identified as being in the wrong location by the power provider. This should have been identified at design sign off not at the time the meter box went in. We were told that this would add extra cost as the power cable would now need to run across the front of the house. When agreed that there would be a shared cost to this as this was Country Living Homes error, we paid 75% of the error to rectify.
- Location for Rainwater pump and Electrical Outlets were placed on the wrong side of the building.
- Wet areas in bathrooms had to be redone.
- Manhole position was not consulted on location, and had to be relocated after the plasterboard was installed.
- Gaps above the bedroom doors trim where the plasterboard was cut too short.
-Ensuite window was provided with clear glass and not obscure.
-Painting detail of front door and trim was not discussed.
-Bathroom & Ensuite Benchtops were not cut to correct height as per the signed documents and had to be refitted.
-Bathroom fittings not fitted in agreed locations.
- External Laundry door frame was out of square by 10mm.
- Light switches were installed at 1350mm not 1050mm as per the plans.
- House was not clean at hand over, nor site rubbish removed at this time.

I purchased a country living home.six years old and are happy with it. Just one issue the steps are terrible. Will be putting ramps to replace them
