From umpiring and officiating duties for local sporting associations to executive roles on community boards, active members of Surf lifesaving and the Royal Australian Navy Reserve. Gaining experience working directly with patients is vitally important to the development and education of medical students and junior doctors, and research has shown that a positive country experience is vital to attracting future doctors to the bush.
