A family funeral firm of 5 generations serving the local community since 1865. We offer a full range of services, which include the arrangement/pre-arrangement of funerals for either burial/cremation, with male/female attendants, civil/religious ceremonies, prepaid funeral funds & monumental services. We ensure that each sad but special occasion is treated with the dignity & respect it deserves.
At J Kirk & Sons in St Maryborough, we offer compassionate, 24/7 funeral services. Our private chapels, viewing rooms, and choice of male or female attendants, along with skilled embalmers and grief counsellors, ensure professional and caring support. We manage local, regional, interstate, and international arrangements, including clergy coordination, mortuary transfers, death and cremation certificates, and registrations. We also handle crematorium or cemetery coordination, special requests, and press notices, including Lodge announcements, to guide you through this difficult time.
Our services address every detail to honour and celebrate loved ones. We provide ceremony planning, a variety of caskets, cremation services, and floral arrangements. Our offerings include designing and printing orders of service, refreshments, and modern or vintage hearses for personalised ceremonies. We also provide monumental and headstone services, with private conference facilities for planning. With chapels in Maryborough and Hervey Bay, we offer a dignified and peaceful environment for families to gather and remember.
Opened in 2004, our Hervey Bay Crematorium features Fraser Coast's largest chapel, private viewing lounges, and reception areas, while the Maryborough Crematorium, established in1979, offers the Pioneer Chapel and Heritage Chapel, plus a garden area for refreshments. Both locations provide various personalised memorial options, including the Bronze Tree of Remembrance, Dolphin Cove, and Anzac Gardens.
