      At Vic Mix, we are driven to become a leading producer and supplier of pre-mixed concrete through prompt and personalised service.

      Established in 2007, the business has grown in this short time to a fleet consisting of more than 30 concrete, tipper and tanker trucks & employing over 40 people at two sites in Dandenong and Pakenham. Our construction on a third concrete plant in the Northern suburbs is due to be completed soon and it will support the businesses established at Dandenong and Pakenham.

      The VIC MIX brand is a "new comer" to the industry. However, the people behind VIC MIX are well established operators with a long and successful history in the industry. In 1987, a small Building Supplies business, called Broadway and Frame, was acquired by a young 26yo Tony De Luca in the Bulleen area. From humble beginnings grew a successful independent pre-mixed concrete business. Over many years Tony together with his brother Michael and other partners turned a small building supply business with 4 mini trucks into a significant pre-mixed concrete producer consisting of four concrete plants, 80 concrete, tipper & tanker trucks, and a workforce of over 100 people.       What can concrete be used for?

      Concrete is extremely versatile and is used to construct mass structures such as high or low rise buildings, bridges, columns, beams, pipes, wall panels, internal and external floor surfaces. Floor surfaces made from concrete are usually the most notable structures as they often incorporate a myriad of decorative finishes that enhance their appearance.


      What is concrete and how is it made?

      Concrete is one of the oldest building materials known to man. It is extremely strong, durable and able to be moulded into virtually any shape you can imagine. It is made by mixing together cement (this is the glue that holds everything else together), stone (also called aggregate), sand, and water. Other ingredients, such as specialist chemicals, colour pigments, steel & plastic, can be added to further enhance its mechanical properties.


      Can I design my own concrete?

      Of course! The performance aspects of the concrete you choose are designed for you. So you don’t have to worry about strength, durability and other technical stuff. Your task is to focus on the finished appearance of your concrete. With Vic Mix decorative concrete, you can choose the type of finish (exposed or polished), the decorative stone (aggregate) of your choice, and the colour of the surrounding paste by choosing a colour from our pigment range.
