Ultrasonic Inspection - Ultrasonics is a method of non-destructive testing where a transducer applies ultrasonic pulse waves in the material. What is dye penetrant inspection?
Dye penetrant inspection is an economical and widely used non-destructive test method to detect surface breaking discontinuities in all non-porous materials. This inspection is generally used as a substitute for magnetic particle inspection and can be conducted using either colour contrast or fluorescent particle types. The material or test items require thorough cleaning before a dye penetrant inspection can be performed.
