Reliable comprehensive medical services

The range of services is comprehensive, and the GP's are very good. It's a shame that Medicare schedule fees don't adequately compensate the doctors, and a copayment has been introduced . It means the queues are much shorter though . Closing times have been brought forward too. The phones take so long to be answered that I prefer to go to the medical centre to make appointments that can't be made online.

So appalling

Have been here a few times. Was misdiagnosed twice. Quality of Doctors vary. It is like a factory churning through patients with no care. Worst is trying to contact the facility. Always on hold at least 15-25 minutes. Multiple times I’ve called I’ve been hung up on. I’ve given up calling them on several occasions as I’ve waited over 25 minutes on the phone. Not sure if anyone is actually on the other line or it is just not important to pick up calls. They need to look at there customer service. It is a handy place to go but I cannot express enough my frustration particularly with their phone system. Shocking place. It’s like being on hold with a big teleco company not a local medical centre! Would not recommend.

Appalling

Came in at 3:26pm, was told it would be an hour wait so went to the mall and came back in 40 minutes. It’s now 7:43 and no idea when or how long it will be until I am seen. What on earth is the point of taking walk ins with this disgraceful wait time. 5 other people in the waiting room with me still not been seen and have been here since I got here.

Vale Medical Practice had become a Cold Americanised and Impersonalised

I had been with Vale Medical Practice over 25 years and had good report with doctors I’d seen. But over the years the ‘practice’ has been testing the waters on how far they can take it with charging the patients Bulk Bill or Pay the full fee which would make it about 45 to 50 dollars out of pocket. The latest policy is you can not choose your doctor of choice if your just a walk in which would then make you Bulk Billed but you can not sit and wait for any of the doctors to be available and will be told to come back in serverai hours or so even though there were 4 doctors on duty of which only 3 of the names were up on the board and only a hand full of patients in the waiting room! ? was told that bulk billing was overbooked and could only come back about 12pm which was a 2 and half hour wait. I Advised my daughter that we could come back later to which the receptionist said that she could squeeze her in 10 min but as a full paying patient. We did sit down in half an hour only saw several people leave the surgery and was wondering how overbooked were the doctors....The fire alarm went off and my daughter and I just left disgusted just went up the road only waited half and hour was only asked for her medicare card. and was told she could come back and ask for the same doctor if she liked, Well I and the rest of my family will go there also. On a another occasion prior to this one I had rung to make a morning appointment with my regular doctor and was told the mornings were for walk ins and bulk billing this being so my daughter was going to be squeezed in between bulk billed patents and be charged more go and figure the rational of this...I am feel that is some kind of company policy wanting to make big bucks. Medical will only for the full time workers and wealthier retirees just like as in US America

I was calling from another medical centre with Urgent Information for one of their patients, who was travelling and sitting waiting at our practice. I tried calling from 2 different phone lines, as well as the Doctors. All 3 phones were immediately placed on hold. We waited 25 minutes on hold with still no answer to any of our 3 phone calls. I then tried to contact the associated Specialist rooms & Dental rooms - both said they could not assist & to call back and just wait on hold for the receptionists. Extremely unprofessional!

They didnt pick up the phone as i was driving here..- when i came in 3 girls in reception were talking about coffe breaks and didnt look up..- phone ringing , nobody answering it..
Im still waiting..- dont even want to rate this 1 star..

I have visited the medical centre on various occasions over the last few weeks. I found the doctors excellent, there is a wait to see them but the care i received was more than satisfactory and all through medicare, so no charges for appointments. On the other hand the reception staff were rude and obnoxious, rolling their eyes and grunting at the patients. I was shocked as they are the face of the medical centre and could not force a smile or any manners. I think they need to reevaluate their interview procedures and rule out anyone that isn't aware of empathy and politeness. I felt as though they were being forced to do the job. Obviously this is not the case and they are being paid to deliver a service. Absolutely disgusted. They bring shame to an excellent medical centre!!!

I recently visited the medical Center known as Warringah Mall medical Centre.After waiting for some time in eternity to see a doctor,I was informed by the staff sitting behind the computer desk that I had not actually asked to be examined.Given that I had given the same lady my Medicare card together with my home details some one hour earlier,I find this quite frankly rude beyond words.Further more whilst I had an hour to watch the show as I had a front seat,I watched the same doctor with which I had booked to see,walking back and forth eating his lunch and making himself coffee.He then decided that he needed to visit the bathroom for some further twenty minutes.After returning home,I decided to make an official complaint in the hope that this situation would be brought to the attention of the correct authority,ie someone who gave a dam.WRONG.! I was fanatically informed that it was in fact the doctors choice as to his behavior.THINK TWICE before attending this establishment if you wish to remain healthy.
