Depot Beach Cottages

We had planned to stay at the Depot Beach Cottages for three nights but ended up leaving a day early.
When we arrived at the exact time we were told we could check in, the cleaning had not yet been finished. This meant that we couldn't get into the accommodation when we needed to, and the floors were still wet from mopping for a long time afterwards, while the whole place needed to be aired out for the strong smell of cleaning products.
These are not 'cottages' as they are advertised. They are units and if you are after somewhere private and quiet, this is definitely not the place to come to. We could hear all the conversations of our neighbours, who we shared at least one wall with, and were constantly woken up during the night. On the final night, when people gathered on the verandah next to us for a party, we decided to leave.
Finally, when we raised the issue with the manager, she was very difficult to deal with.
Overall, this place cannot be recommended at all. There are plenty of other lovely places to stay on the South Coast.
