      Dr Mac Nixon specialises in robotic hip and knee surgery and arthroplastic surgery of the knee. Dr Nixon also practices “Enhanced Recovery After Surgery”, which leads to faster recovery, less pain and earlier discharge from hospital. Dr Nixon is passionate about patients regaining their livelihood and their sense of self again. He aims to provide this through comprehensive assessments, advanced surgical management techniques, clear and concise education and individualised rehabilitation plans. Dr Nixon is meticulous, he doesn't just look at the injury itself, instead considers the entirety of a patient, including their lifestyle, what daily activities are important to them, their own personal goals and their social support network. The possibility of undergoing surgery can be daunting and often is a vulnerable time for patients and their families. Dr Nixon is extremely personable, caring and thorough in every aspect through the entire illness trajectory, from the moment he meets patients, through surgery and follow-up.
