What is a reverse cycle air conditioning unit, and do I need one?
Basically, a reverse cycle air conditioner is one that can switch between cooling or heating air. These are great for homes or businesses that want a single, centralised system for their heating and cooling, but they’re not appropriate for every application. We can help you figure out if a reverse cycle air conditioning system makes sense for your building.
What does it mean to tag and test an air conditioning or refrigeration system?
Electrical equipment used in a commercial location should be periodically tested to ensure it’s running safely. A tag and test are a service provided by a certified electrician. The electrician will come to your location, test the equipment for faults, and attach a tag that lists the last test date and the due date for the next test.

Do I really have to let my new fridge/freezer settle before turning it on?
If you’re getting a new refrigeration system installed that uses an oil compressor, it should always be allowed to settle for at least 6 hours before you turn it on, or 24 hours if it’s been tilted sideways. Settling allows the compressor oil to get back into its proper place. If you don’t allow the oils to settle, you could damage the fridge if you turn it back on too soon.
