Kirrawee Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1976 by Dr Bill Ilkin with his wife, Margueritte by his side, driven by their goal to deliver the highest standard of veterinary medicine and surgery to their patients. To this day, we still carry this legacy, with his son, Dr Simon Ilkin at the helm. Together, the Ilkin family have serviced Kirrawee and the surrounding neighbourhoods for decades.

Our working hours are 7 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 7 AM to 7 PM on weekends. We are available 24/7 for emergencies.

Do I need to make an appointment to see a veterinarian or can I just turn up?
We do run by appointments so it is best to call and schedule one with our friendly reception team. This ensures that we have a vet available and that you are not kept waiting for long periods of time. Of course, if you have an emergency, please don't hesitate to come straight down to the hospital.

I took my cat here with an infection which was incorrectly diagnosed and treated as cystitis. Once the infection had multiplied to the point my cat was nearly dead and I had spent thousands on treatment that was doing nothing, I was told that if I couldn’t afford their treatment anymore I should put my animal to sleep. Don’t go to this clinic if you want skilled and caring staff.
