For over 18 years, our family has been providing support and beautiful affordable funerals with compassion and dignity to families from Sydney to Narooma. We are based in Sydney and the Shoalhaven area on the South Coast of New South Wales in Nowra and provide funeral services in all areas.

Is cremation cheaper than burial?
Generally, cremation is cheaper than burial due to the cost of purchasing a grave. We can advise you on the exact costs according to your locality.

What is mortuary preparation?
Mortuary preparation involves washing and dressing, applying makeup where required, styling hair and shaving as required.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We give you the following options to pay for your funeral service for cremations and burials in Sydney: cash, bank cheque, electronic transfer and we also accept most major EFTPOS and credit cards.
Are cardboard coffins allowed?
Yes, there are a number of companies who produce cardboard coffins which meet the regulatory requirements of the Australian funeral industry.
Must I have a coffin?
Yes. The only exception is for members of the Muslim religion who have a special dispensation to be buried in a shroud in certain cemeteries according to their religion.

I have used Turner Family Funerals three times and each time they responded immediately to my enquiry. Always explaining everything in words I could understand. Gave me the choice of having someone come to my home or if I preferred to make appointment to go into their funeral home. Made me feel that someone understood my needs and showed care and compassion.
