I always hire a car when i travel in Australia, its conveinent. I can honestly say I've never had a problem, but I can also say I have never experienced the five star customer service I was shown at Carters Car Rental at Tweed Heads.
The prices very reasonable, the service second to none. We were picked up at the airport and driven back to the airport fuss free.
The staff were obviously very happy in their jobs smiling and friendly.
Do yourself a favour check them out next time you need to hire a car they are fabulous.
