I recently went to have my haircut for the second time at HairhouseWarehouse in Wollongong. My first experience wasn't that great as I felt I was obligated to buy the products that were recommended to me by the stylist. I told her that I was a university student and didn't have the funds to afford $80 worth of products on top of the $80 haircut. However she kept pushing these products on me, reluctantly, I purchased one of the products and left dissatisfied that I was swindled out of my money.
I went back a second time willing to give them another chance, and because I live close by. I went in, sat down and had the consultation and she quoted me $80, which I was willing to pay for a decent haircut and style. Whilst at the basin the stylist questioned the shampoo and condition I regularly used, and she told me to immediately stop using it because of the silicon in the products (which I know for a fact there is 0% silicon in this particular product). She took me over the chair to begin cutting my hair. As we discussed in the consultation, I am trying to grow my hair for my sister's wedding so I didn't want a lot chopped off, just a trim of about a centimetre. Then she went away and brought back products that she said I needed to fix the damage of my hair, a total cost of $100. I just nodded my head, didn't say anything that made me sound interested in buying them. She proceeded to cut my hair to the length we discussed, and then kept going, taking off about inch of my hair and an inch of my fringe which I said I like to keep long so I can pull it back. No, it was really damaged and needed to be cut. I rarely straighten my hair, if i do it is once a week, other than that i do nothing to cause the damage that she is describing. She asked what methods of treatment I use, I told her just natural coconut oil, and she said it is not going to fix this damage. Its easy to say I won't be going back there ever again. They need to fix their selling techniques. badly!
