      Chadstone Chiropractic is a Gonstead chiropractic clinic at 1681 Dandenong Road, Oakleigh East, in Melbourne's south-east — about 3 km from Chadstone Shopping Centre. The practice traces back to The Chadstone Clinic, founded in the mid-1970s; Dr Joshua Free has been principal chiropractor since 2004. Three chiropractors practise here — Dr Joshua Free, Dr Nadia Hamdan and Dr Pieter Hart — and all three are members of the Gonstead Chiropractic Society (Australia); Dr Free and Dr Hart are Diplomates of the Society. Every patient is assessed before any adjustment: history, visualisation, instrumentation, static and motion palpation, neurological and orthopaedic testing, and weight-bearing digital X-rays taken onsite when clinically appropriate. Adjustments are made by hand to one specific spinal segment. The clinic's principle is "find it, fix it, leave it alone". Open Monday to Saturday, with early-morning and evening appointments during the week and Saturday mornings.       Business History
      The Chadstone Clinic was founded by Dr Tony Hart in the mid-1970s. His son Dr Chris Hart joined him and built the practice up, and for a period Dr Chris Hart's brother, Dr Pieter Hart, also practised here before leaving in the mid-1990s to start his own clinic. Dr Joshua Free joined the practice in 2001, training under Dr Chris Hart, and became principal chiropractor in 2004 when Dr Chris Hart retired. Dr Joshua Free had been a chiropractic patient himself as a child. Dr Pieter Hart now consults at the clinic again alongside Dr Joshua Free and Dr Nadia Hamdan.

New patient examination — a seven-step Gonstead assessment at your first visit: history, visualisation, instrumentation, static and motion palpation, neurological and orthopaedic tests, and X-ray analysis. Chiropractic adjustment — a controlled force applied by hand to one specific spinal joint, in one direction. Onsite digital X-ray — weight-bearing spinal X-rays taken onsite with digital equipment, when clinically appropriate. No X-rays are taken during pregnancy. Chiropractic care during pregnancy — assessment and adjustment adapted for pregnancy. No X-rays are taken during pregnancy. Chiropractic care for children — we assess children of any age. We do not use spinal manipulation on children under two years of age; care for infants stays within the normal range of movement, with no thrust or manipulation.
