What areas of orthopaedics does Dr Milne treat?

Dr Milne is a lower limb specialist only, treating hips, knees, foot and ankle problems. Dr Milne does not treat any patients with upper limb problems such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, or hands. Dr Milne also does not treat patients with back or spine issues.

I would like my child to see Dr Milne. How do I make an appointment?

Dr Milne runs a paediatric orthopaedic clinic at Orange Health Service for children under 16 with congenital conditions, e.g. hip dysplasia (clicky hips) or talipes (club foot). Dr Milne does not see patients with spine issues or scoliosis. A referral must first be faxed to the clinic on 02 6360 3909. As Dr Milne is the only paediatric orthopaedic surgeon in regional NSW, there is a long wait for appointments. Treatment at a children’s hospital in Sydney (Westmead or Randwick) is an alternative.

How can I get an appointment with Dr Milne?

Due to the busy nature of Dr Milne’s practice, we review all referrals and radiology images (e.g. X-rays or MRIs) before making the appointment. This is to assess the urgency of each condition and determine appointments accordingly. GP or specialist referrals to Dr Milne and recent radiology images must be supplied before an appointment can be offered. Reports from your physio or podiatrist are also helpful. Once you have those documents, visit our reception or call 02 6361 8880.
