Our aim is to provide psychological knowledge and other skills to improve your and your child's health and well-being.
Melissa Theobald Psychological Solutions has a team at psychological solutions that consists of clinical psychologists, registered psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and mental health nurses. Our clinicians are highly trained experts who can guide you through the painful aspects of emotional problems and find individual solutions to best suit your needs.
Our team includes clinical psychologists, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, and speech pathologists. Some of our team have years of experience in working with very young & primary school aged children. Others have a special interest in working with adolescents, and there are some who are mostly interested in and experienced in working with adults, couples & families.

When can I expect at my first appointment?
Appointments at Melissa Theobald Psychological Solutions typically last around 50 minutes. We do request that reasonable notice be given to cancel or rearrange an appointment, so that your appointment can be offered to someone else. Note: Cancellations without 24 hours’ notice: a $70 fee is payable.
What is the availability of your service?
Availability - The team at Melissa Theobald Psychological Solutions aim to make attending our service as easy as possible. We offer flexible appointments and are available some evenings and on Saturdays for those that have difficulty attending during normal business hours.
How many sessions will I need?
The amount of sessions will vary depending on your situation, however on average a client will visit a psychologist for 6 -12 sessions. Some people engage in longer term treatment to resolve long standing issues. This is always your decision and is based on whether you are getting a benefit.
What is the duration of consultation?
The initial consultation: 1 hour - $140 - $190 (Mostly rebatable through Medicare with a Mental Health Care Plan referral) - Subsequent consultations: 50 minutes - $140 - $190 (Mostly rebatable through Medicare with a Mental Health Care Plan referral) - Psychiatrists Fees available upon request. - Fees for report writing, attendance at school/other agency meetings, and home consultation are also available on request. - Fees for educational assessments vary and are available on request.
