Well known on the coast as rip off merchants. Unfortunately they managed to get me when I first arrived to the tune of $4700. When I re-tell the story to locals I always get the same knowing head nod and a sympathetic sigh. If you are lucky enough to read this post... AVOID

Had my car stolen from the place without them noticing me about it first thing when they found out and had to call them to find out what happened, not a sorry word, lucky me my car was found a few days later but there was nothing offered to me to get back for the grief done (missed few days of work) made me pay full price (a hefty $5300) and when told I had to come back for a 1000 km service and I did come back (I am 1 h away from the place) they told me this was not a free service made it look like some complex kind of servicing when it was just a general servicing (cooling fluid, oil and filter change), something I could have done myself for a fraction of the cost or done at the mechanic 5 min down the road and when confronted I was told I was in the wrong... Hated every bit of the experience and now even think the repair was a bit of a rip off... don't set foot there... they don't deserve that compulsory star I have to give to write this... minus 5 star for me

I bought a second hand Jeep Cherokee from Burleigh Auto Recyclers, and I got them to fix the window on my Holden Jackaroo at the same time. I'd had window problems for a couple of years on the Jackaroo and had other mechanics do repairs that cost a lot of money and never worked while the mechanic at Burleigh auto recyclers was top notch and nailed it first time. The same repair that I'd had done in a botched way by a couple of other firms in previous years was done better by them and was considerably cheaper. Because they are a parts dealer as well as doing mechanical repairs they sourced all original parts that other mechanics had told me were hard to get and they didn't mess around patching an old mechanism up which was what happened previously with both previous mechanics at other firms who'd told me the window parts were hard to get. Burleigh Auto Recyclers replaced the electrical parts on both windows plus gave me a new window complete with it's housing mechanism on the driver's side, and their repairs have been rock solid and cost far less even with the parts cost than my previous costs for the same problem at other firms. Same with the jeep. As with any old car bought second hand it all depends on who previously owned it and how they maintained it. The lady driver who'd previously owned this jeep really hadn't taken care of a few critical things and a few things did go wrong on the Jeep and Kevin and Craig sorted it out each time. I dealt with Kevin the owner and Craig both of who are old school and traditional (ie. honest) and who are really great to deal with. I'm really happy with the car I got, the price I paid and also with the fact the even though a couple of problems with the car did arise (it had 187,00 kms on it), the aftercare service and decency I got from this firm was great and continues to be great. I couldn't recommend my experience with them more highly.

Extremely unprofessional. The part I purchased was incorrectly identified by them. Went back to see if they could swap it for the correct part. Received a tirade of abuse from the owner. I don't understand how you can treat people like that let alone run a business. Bitterly dissapointed, won't be back.

Unreliable, Un-organised business who does not treat their customers as valued business. I contacted this business on a number of occasions to collect a car and after 4 attempts they still didn't even have any recollection of any of my previous points of contact. The tow truck driver was rude and abrupt on the phone.

Take your business elsewhere.

we are going to buy a motor for our 85 pajero that we use as we travel around oz as frostys travels ,we will keep you up dated as we go along but at this early start we are happy with price and the phone service from Jason ,we will promote this company on our pajero for all to see if we are happy
