One of the best bird vets, I have used. Peter is very honest and is very dedicated and only wants to give and have the owners give the best care to the birds, reptile etc that they have the privilege to own. Penny is wonderful and you can rest assured, that your birds will come from boarding in their best condition.

I’ve taken my rainbow lorikeets into this vet numerous times and I have to say Dr Peter and Nurse Penny have been nothing but wonderful helpful and truely care for all animals. I was very fortunate as a returning parrot owner to have chosen them to be my main vet. They spent hours with me talking me through everything I need to know about owning lorikeets specifically and preparing me a folder full of useful information. They took me step by step on how to care for them diet, enrichment, enclosures and much much more. Dr Peter was the first wildlife vet for Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and his experience and knowledge is unrivalled, Penny being a former high school teacher and true animal lover understands the science behind parrot behaviour and is a great mentor to me. When it comes to my pets I wouldn’t want anything but the best for them and they’re the best vets around. Some others have issues with the price for there services but we all know vets are expensive be a reasonable pet owner and get insurance if that’s the case and stop complaining. I would urge people to ignore the bad reviews and take a look that there clinic for yourselves they’re booming with business and most people who have positive experiences never write reviews it’s only the two people out of many thousands that can cope with the idea they actually need to pay for a vets service. If you want the best care for you beloved pets then don’t put a price tag on their care. Highly recommended them for SERIOUS pets owners if you want honest and professional care for your pets.

I totally agree with some people's reviews on their ridiculous inaccurate total fee. My Guinea pig had a runny nose and that was all I wanted them to treat. Peter told me that it will be less than $200 for the total including the consultation so I decided to go ahead with it. But on the day I had to pick him up (which ended up 4 days of stay instead of originally 3 days) they charged me over $500. I was very shocked with it. I don't care about reasons like oh we had to give him this or do this because of whatever reason. Not being honest with their initial total estimate fee and not letting me know whether it is okay about the increment of the fee prior to any procedure is very unprofessional and untrustworthy. I didn't know about borrowing nebulizer too which now I have to drive all the way there again just to return it. If they have had told me this information in the beginning I would've gone to a vet one of my family members went where it is much cheaper and closer. I’ll go never again. The wife of dr Peter spoke to me like it's not their fault and they said that it’s my fault for not having a vet pay insurance. They shouldn’t lie to anyone’s face about the price they have to pay. That’s stealing.

Was actually laughed out of this clinic today for wanting to treat my rat's probable heart condition. To quote Dr. Peter: "As with humans, there is no point giving medication for heart disease when it doesn't fix it." Yeah... pretty sure there is value to treating serious medical problems even if it doesn't make them magically disappear. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a vet. I took my rat straight from here to another vet, got great advice and medication to make my little guy more comfortable, no thanks to this place. If you're looking for an overpriced egomaniac, this is the place for you. To get genuine, empathetic care that will value your pet's quality of life, save your money and go elsewhere.

5 months after I took my budgie to Currumbin Valley Vetinary Services who saved his life, I am so grateful, every day I look at him and see a healthy budgie thanks to their care and expertise and educating of me the owner on how my budgie should be managed. He is bright, happy and healthy not overeating and struggling with poor health, the holistic approach is the only way. Every day I look at him I am so happy I made the right decision to take him to Dr Peter and Nurse Penny and staff to save our little "Buddy". Can't thank them enough !
