Barry was well known in the North Queensland building industry with over 25 years service as a carpenter, foreman and project manager with various well respected North Queensland building companies while Bob Evennett had a strong association with many of Townsville’s engineering.

Barry’s retirement from the company in 2011, Bob’s eldest son, Nathan Evennett has taken over the directors duties in the every day running of Phoenix with Bob currently stepping back in day to day duties within the company. Nathan’s employment with the company since 2000 as a project manager and the company building nominee has enabled him to follow on with and maintain the honest and open relationships with consultants and clients in the industry.

It emerged as a delivery method in the 1960s and 1970s to provide a better project value than the traditional design-bid-build method.
