Established in 1977, AJAA Distributors Pty Ltd is one of Canberra's oldest timber suppliers. Family-owned and operated, our business prides itself on good, old-fashioned service and knowledge that you can't find in today’s hardware stores. As one of Canberra's leading suppliers of hardwood decking timbers for over 40 years.
Spotted Gum Spotted gum is an excellent multipurpose timber. It has traditionally been used in high impact situations as handles of striking tools such as axes and hammers. Mixed Forest Reds Forest Reds is a blend of medium to large hardwoods harvested from the coastal regions. Timber colour ranging from pale pinks to deep rich reds, which when blended in flooring, give a particularly warm, luxurious appearance. Vitex/New Guinea Teak Vitex produces a beautiful olive-grey wood with an attractive banded or striped pattern on quarter-sawn faces. Often referred to as New Guinea teak, having similar properties and uses to that of teak (Tectona Grandis), and belonging to the same family of Verbenaceae.

Avoid using abrasive cleansers, citrus-based products, ammonia-based cleaners, soaps containing dye, scouring pads or scrubbing brushes, as they will damage the finish of your panels.

This Family business has been suppling timber products for my building projects for several decades. I have always recieved good service and reasonable prices considering the high quality of the boards and beams and cladding products as well as fastners I have bought from them. They do get more expensive when you ask them to bring in products from other suppliers, but if you stick to what they have they are the best value for money in the Canberra area.
