      We make it our aim to have your pet leave here with a wag in its tail and a smile on your face. Diamond's Boarding Kennels was established in 1967, when it was a lone building surrounded by hectares of paddocks. Nestled on 5 acres and backing onto the picturesque Churchill National Park, it has now become the perfect holiday destination for pets of the south-eastern suburbs, looking after a legion of dogs and cats each year. At Diamond's Boarding Kennels we happily cater for dogs and cats of all breeds, shapes and sizes. For the larger dogs, we have spacious open air-kennels with a cozy inside sleeping cubicle. Dogs can choose to be lazing around inside on their hammock beds or enjoying the Sunshine and socializing with a neighbour. Smaller dogs sleep individually in a fully enclosed kennel area at night and are allowed to run in one of our many sand or grass exercise yards during the day. All these kennels are draught free and bedding is supplied. Would you like your special pet bathed & smelling beautiful on pick up? Diamonds can provide this service for you. Grooming: If you would like your pet clipped, we are more than happy to organize an external groomer to do this during their stay. Our friendly and dedicated staff are here 365 days of the year caring for your loved ones in rain, hail or shine. You can be sure that they are always well looked after with Diamond’s Boarding Kennels. Each member of our team brings something special to Diamond’s, whether its knowledge on nutrition and training or years of experience. The one thing that we do all have in common is our love of cats and dogs!

      Can I bring my pets own bedding?

      We recommend that you don't bring your pets own bedding as it may get lost, soiled or destroyed throughout the stay. If you wish to bring an item to settle your pet in more quickly, please make it disposable i.e. An old t-shirt or towel. This is the same with toys. We cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to property while the dog is in our care.


      Can my dog find a friend during their stay?

      In most cases we are happy to find a friend for your dog to play with whilst staying with us, but the owners of both dogs must first give us permission to do so. This can be done by selecting 'yes' on your admission form. We only ever attempt to mix dogs of similar size and temperament, using the best of our knowledge to do so.


      My dog or cat requires medication/tablets to be administered during their stay. Can you do that?

      Yes, we are happy to administer any medication to your pet while staying with us. Please make sure it is clearly labelled with detailed instructions of how to administer. Note: there is a surcharge of $1 per animal per day for tablets/powders. Please note - we do not accept dogs or cats that require injections.
