Firstly, Dirk is reliable - he returns your calls promptly, turns up on time and delivers as he says he will. I shopped around for a floor sander that could renovate an older, fading but good quality parquetry floor. I chose Signature Sanding on my experience with dealing with Dirk during that process. He promptly returned calls, gave a "ball park" price and made a time to visit the property to quote that fitted with my schedule. The quote was competitive and considerably less than some who came and gave me little confidence that they could do the job I was after. Dirk offered advice on the possible solutions and made a professional recommendation. We made a booking for the job two months prior to the date. Contacting Dirk a week prior to that date he confirmed that he was planning as we agreed to start the following week. Dirk and Scott arrived on time, completed the job on time and delivered a job that exceeded my expectations. There may be cheaper out there, there certainly is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. My experience with signature sanding is a high quality job at a good value price.

I had my floor completed by Dirk at Signature Sanding.
I cannot say enough just how the job flowed smoothly.
The quote was done on time.
Dirk showed up on the date and time specified and the job went smoothly from start to finish.
I would not hesitate to recommend him for all your floor sanding needs.
Will use him again on my next job.
Very, very happy.

We have had a dreadful experience with this company. 12 months ago we contracted them to sand and re-seal our timber floors as part of a bigger kitchen renovation project. At the time, the floors (the timber) were in good condition, however the coating at yellowed slightly. When Signature Sanding first completed the job we were very pleased, and told them so and paid the balance of the account. However, within a month we had patches in the living area which looked like there was water damage even though nothing had been spilt and cracks appearing between the floor boards. On closer inspection and as time passed it looked like there was dust (from the sanding process?) which has been sealed between the boards. We asked them to come back and repair and after many many calls one employee finally turned up (after failing to turn up at many previous appointment where we waited for him to arrive and he just didn’t show up). He ‘patch’ repaired a few spots by applying more sealer (and getting it on the cabinetry in the process). As the problems were still there we demanded the owner, and has provided the original quote, come to have a look. He did even more months later and just said this happens in timber houses, however, we had never had this problem previously. 12 months on, we have timber boards lifting and splitting (we get splinters, hot idea will a little one learning to crawl, let alone not wearing shoes inside. We now have wide gaps between the floor boards and the sealer cracking and peeling off (even in areas away from the kitchen). Very disappointing and will be very very costly for us to repair or replace.
