      How often should I visit the dentist?

      Ideally you need to visit the dentist at least once every 6 months. Regular visits allow your dentist to find early signs of disease and problems can be treated before they become serious.


      How much dental experience to your dentist's have?

      Jansz Dental has two treating dentist's in the practice. Dr Jeremy Jansz graduated The University of Sydney in 1985 and has owned the practice in Sherwood for almost 20 years. Our assistant dentist, Dr Hilary Hassall, graduated The University of Queensland in 1988 and has been working with Jansz Dental for over 14 years. Both dentist's have a wide range of knowledge due to their extensive experience within the dental industry.


      What dental services does the practice provide?

      Jansz Dental offers a wide range of services with the dental scope including: - General dentistry eg routine examinations, fillings - Teeth straightening - Root Canal Therapy - Crown, Bridge and Cosmetic Treatment - Children Dentistry - Case Specific Sedation - Dental Appliances eg mouthguards, splints


      Do you offer the 'laughing gas'?

      No, the practice feels this form of sedative is outdated and in more than 50% of cases ineffective. We offer other forms of sedation that are muscle relaxents and have found them extremely effective for dental treatment, especially in children. Please contact the practice if you would like further information.


      Are you booked heavily and weeks in advance?

      Whilst we are a very busy practice, the scope of hours that we are open allows us to offer most patients appointments prompty. We often leave emergency appointment times open to cater for the unscheduled mishap or pain.


      Is there public transport nearing the practice?

      Yes, the Sherwood Train Station is a two minute walk from the practice door and there is also a bus stop directly oustside of the complex.


      Does your practice treat patients of all ages?

      Yes, the practice treats patients of all ages with specific care that suits their needs.


      Is there off street parking available?

      Yes, there is parking at the front and rear of the complex


      Are you open Saturdays or after working hours?

      Yes. The practice is generally open every Saturday. We also work back some evenings and see patients from 7am select mornings. Please contact the practice to enquire about our operating hours.


      Do you participate in any government or medicare dental scheme's?

      Yes. The practice offers eligible children treatment under the Child Benefit Dental Scheme. To enquire if your child is eligible contact the surgery.

      I couldn't recommend Jansz Dental high enough. There customer service is second to none and really made myself and others feel welcome at their practice. With a convenient location in Sherwood i found it easy to access and very inviting.
