We provide a safe, supportive space that builds collaboration to achieve positive outcomes and healthier minds.
Calder Psychology is a group of psychologists and other allied health professionals in Perth, Western Australia. We offer psychological services, cognitive assessments, diagnosis, and counselling. We provide fresh approaches to mental health care in a warm, open and non-judgemental environment, to help reduce your emotional suffering and behavioural concerns. Good mental health does not mean the absence of mental illness but rather encompasses resilience, self-esteem, fulfillment, and the ability to cope with life's challenges. We are passionate in creating a difference in people's lives and helping others achieve their goals. Our psychologists and therapists will help you identify your goals, explore your values, develop strengths, and set a life trajectory that is meaningful to you. You will receive a personalised service tailored to your specific needs, in a collaborative manner. We utilise well researched evidence-based and talk-based psychological techniques to see healthy lives emerge.
We provide both individual and group therapy tailored to different stages of life, supporting children, adolescents, adults, and parents. Our sessions create a safe and supportive environment to explore challenges, build coping strategies, and enhance wellbeing. Whether addressing emotional, behavioural, or relational concerns, our therapy services are designed to foster growth, resilience, and stronger connections.
We provide psychological support for a wide range of needs, including anxiety and depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, family and relationship challenges, emotional and behavioural difficulties, addiction, and sleep concerns. Our approach is tailored, compassionate, and evidence-based, helping individuals build resilience, improve wellbeing, and create positive changes in their daily lives.
We offer comprehensive assessment and diagnosis services, including Autism and ADHD assessments, cognitive assessment, intelligence (IQ) testing, psychometric evaluations, and screening for a range of other mental health disorders, ensuring a thorough understanding of each individual’s unique strengths, challenges, and support needs.

How much is the Medicare rebate?
Medicare rebates apply for therapy sessions. For individual therapy with a registered psychologist, the rebate is $98.95. For group programs, rebates vary by facilitator—$26.00 per session with a Social Worker, or $29.70 per session with a Psychologist.
Do you accept NDIS participants?
Yes, we welcome NDIS participants who are either self-managed, or plan managed.
How do I access the Medicare rebate?
You can access individual or group therapy through Medicare’s Better Access Initiative. To receive a rebate, you’ll need a referral from your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician. If your GP refers you, they’ll also prepare a Mental Health Care Plan. Referrals from a psychiatrist or paediatrician don’t require one.
What if I'm not eligible for a Medicare rebate? Do I need a referral to see a psychologist at Calder Psychology?
You do not need a referral to book an appointment with us. If you have Private Health Insurance, you may be entitled to a rebate through your provider. We recommend you check with your provider prior to your appointment. If you choose not to use Medicare or a private health fund you can see a Clinician without a referral.
Do I need a GP referral for an Autism or ADHD assessment?
You don’t need a GP referral to book an Autism or ADHD assessment. Many people choose to self-refer and contact us directly. We’re here to make the process as simple and supportive as possible.
