Mr Vincent Yap is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in Primary and revision joint replacements of the hip and knee, Minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, Hip resurfacing surgery, Hip arthroscopy and early intervention hip surgery, Management of hip disorders in young adults, Orthopaedic sports injury.

Mr Yap graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1995. He joined the Victorian-Tasmanian Advanced Orthopaedic Training Program in 2002 and was awarded the Allan Frederick Dwyer Prize for the best research paper presented in 2004. He was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2006 and subsequently joined the Austin Health and Dandenong Hospital (Southern Health) as staff consultant.

In 2007, he was awarded the Smith & Nephew Fellowship to pursue further training in Arthroplasty and Sports Trauma in the United Kingdom and Europe. He completed his Lower Limb Reconstruction and Hip Arthroscopy Fellowship at the Southwest London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) with Mr Richard Field, one of the leading hip surgeons in the UK. This dedicated orthopaedic centre performs over 3000 joint replacements per year.

Mr Yap has public appointments at the Austin Health and Dandenong Hospital (Southern Health). His main rooms are at Suite 8, 18 Bell Street, Heidelberg Heights close to The Austin and Warringal Private Hospitals. He also consults at Mitcham Private Consulting Suites Mr Yap has regular operating lists at Mitcham Private and Warringal Private Hospitals Mr Yap is multilingual and proficient in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Indonesian and Malay
