      Physiotherapy assists with restoring and optimising function to the body when movement or activity is disrupted. This dysfunction can be due to injury or gradual onset through biomechanical issues and poor movement patterns. Conditions that can be assisted by physiotherapy are as diverse as sports injuries, work injuries, back and knee pain, headaches, respiratory conditions, arthritis, pre and post-surgery rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedic conditions, geriatric conditions, children’s developmental problems and women’s health and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

      With sports injuries it is important to have correct diagnosis and treatment. Treatment may include hands on manual therapy, taping management, electrotherapy, a rehabilitation programme with graded exercise prescription and analysis of technique to assist with prevention of injury. Athletes may not have injuries but notice performance changes and can see our physiotherapists for assessment and advice regarding improving performance and technique.

      Many Australians have experienced back and neck pain at some stage of their life. Physiotherapy can assist with assessment, hands on treatment if required and advice to prevent further re occurrence of pain. There are many techniques that can assist including Dry Needling if appropriate. An assessment will determine what is the best management for your symptoms.
