Happy with the good work, and fair price - yet again. They have helped me out with Saabs, Volkswagens, Mercedes, and Alfa Romeos over the past 20+ years. Never had a problem with any of their work.

Asked to install a voltmeter on the dash, which they said would cost around $50. Also asked to have a look at my faulty winch.
Later they called me saying that the part to fix the winch would cost $160, so I decided not to replace it and just have the voltmeter installed.
Went to pick up the car and get an invoice for $260!
I understand they spent extra time looking at the winch, but from $50 to $260 there is a 5x difference. That's ridiculous. Tried to reason with them, but no luck. They just were extremely rude and said "that's the price".

Definitely look for another auto-electrical.

Wish I had seen those reviews earlier. Definitely look for another auto-electrical.

I agree with Jute P. The most rude and dishonest people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with! I took my car there with a faulty door lock, and they told me I had much bigger problems. They replaced the body control module and the power control unit, and charged me $1500. If they had replaced the door lock mechanism, as requested, the total cost for the repairs would have been $105! My vehicle was also damaged whilst in their care! They blatantly ripped me off and laughed in my face about it!

booked car in with faulty alternator at 8am over 6 hours later they rang with quote would take 4 to 5 hours labour to remove and replace alternator costing about $500 I stated I'd been quoted about $150 elsewhere he yelled that's the quote if you don't like it come get your car out of here.
Went to mechanic got alternator removed and replaced for $95 in just over hour.

JLH went out of their way to assist me and I could not thank them enough for their conscientious reaction to my predicament. As a visitor to Tassie, leaving on the Spirit the next day, they dropped everything to ensure that we were able to catch the boat. The technician methodically checked the electrics on my vehicle and my caravan to discover and fix the reason the electric brakes on my caravan were not working. I whole heartedly recommend them.

Hi all
We are located in Hobart and could not speak more highly about JLH Auto Electrical.
We are a motor dealer and over the years have had to use someone in Launceston to repair
one of our cars situated up in the north of the state, every time ( and there has been a few)
they have promptly and efficiently completed the repairs at a fair and reasonable price.
We personally regard them among the best, most honest and decent auto techs that we have dealt with. Congrats JLH on a job well done from Marcus and team in Hobart.

The most dishonest and unfriendly bunch I have Ever dealt with. Ask you to leave vehicle with them and they will phone to advise you of costs..They did NOT, when we rang late in the day they, informed us the vehicle was ready to be picked up at a cost of $225 dollars. They were asked to just run a meter over it to diagnose fault?...a fault that JLM claimed that they could not replicate..however they,, proceeded with Unauthorised repairs and billed us.= $187 Labor Costs..can you believe that, for a car that had..in their words No Faults???
They threatened to hold the vehicle unless we paid their account and made derogatory and snide comments towards myself and youngest daughter,.
Do yourself a favour and AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE..
