      El Artista Hairdressing has been open under owners Tania & Mick Alsop since the year 2000. Their objective was to provide a professional salon, but with a fun and relaxed atmosphere where both clients and staff could enjoy their time in the salon. Situated 42 Sturt Street, the salon has grown to what is now recognised as one of the top full service hair salons in Ballarat.

      At El Artista Hairdressing we offer our clients a team of highly qualified specialists in all aspects of hairdressing. As a salon we are very well rounded. We create the classic look to the outrageous, plus everything in between. Low maintenance, high impact, structured, eccentric, timeless. We can do it all. We undertake intensive and ongoing training throughout our careers. By working together as a team we are able to provide quality services for our clients.

      Do you sell products?

      El Artista offers a full range of shampoos, conditioners, treatments and styling products from one of the worlds finest manufacturers - Keune. Keune prides itself on providing high-quality products. All products are made in one of the most advanced laboratories in Europe, using superior quality ingredients & innovation. Each unique formula has been carefully devised to ensure it provides a working solution for each hair necessity. Keune products are only found in professional hair salons.


      Do you have parking?

      Out the front of the salon, in Sturt Street, there is a metered parking zone (1 hour limit directly out the front and 2 hour limit in the middle). The meters are strictly enforced, however when asked staff will gladly run out to meters for you. For peace of mind, un-metered parking is available approximately 60 meters down Sturt Street in the Big W car park.

      We are open Tuesday to Saturday.

      The ladies in here are, friendly, funny amd very talented! My first time at this salon they did exactly what i asked and guided me a bit with colours and cut and it came out perfectly! I couldnt be happier! Thanks to Tahlia for her beautiful work!!!
