Would never recommend this law firm at all to anyone.

Unimpressed with this firm. Would not recommend at all.

Butera & Co Lawyers at Carlton Victoria were appointed to prepare a will and act as agent for the orderly execution of the will.

The following occurred that turned an otherwise orderly settling of the will into a quasi disaster:

1. Issued the wrong names on the will of two out of four recipients therefore proving incompetent and may have rendered the contents of the will useless;

2. Led us to believe that the documentation for proving the will had been delayed by the Supreme Court of Victoria due to Covid 19 issues when Butera Lawyers had not yet filed the documents to the Supreme Court;

3. Caused the loss of the sale of the Estate property by refusing to prepare a sales contract with the section 32 directing the executrix to go to Auction and forgo the sale;

4. Caused the loss of $17,500 due to the sale at auction realized an amount lower (due to agency and auction fees);

5. Caused the loss of over 6 months before the property sold at auction instead of selling when offer was made 6 months prior to auction;

6. Caused the siblings to bicker and 3 siblings no longer speak to the sibling who was appointed executrix due to the conduct of Butera Lawyers.

Would I recommend Butera and Co Lawyers? Not to my worst enemy as I deem them incompetent, arrogant, and overpriced.
