MTL Transport & Removals

I've used MTL on more than one occasion. Had to relocate interstate due to custody and Jackie picked up the phone on a Sunday morning and had me moved by 24 hrs. She was empathetic, caring and very professional. Workers disassembled and wrapped furniture, cleaned and tidied my messy rooms, all the while reassuring me while loading boxes without damaging any furniture. I used a local company after MTL was booked out and had a broken leg with my new velvet coach, 2 dents in my brand new Samsung fridge. I was gutted. It's a family run business, I was discounted on the rate but was blown away by their efficiency and gentleness in handling my things.

Cannot recommend them enough. Will be moving again soon and am grateful these guys can fit me in. 10 stars if I could.

On the day of the move turned up to the first pick up on time, then went missing for two hours. When they finally arrived there were 3 of them one who said he should not be lifting as he had a hernia. One worker smelt strong of cigarettes and one smelt of BO it took hours to get the contents out of my house and it sat on the footpath for hours after settlement had happened. Then when one truck was full Rick sat in it and did nothing. My 3 children and 2 sisters and myself carried box after box and my boys carried the heaviest furniture. When we finally got to my new house Rick sat in the truck and did nothing. If it wasn’t for myself and my family we would have been there until midnight. Worst experience ever. Take my word do not use

Where can I start….well if you read this please take warning. I don’t leave reviews but felt compelled to warn anyone not use these unprofessional, dishonest people and quite frankly they are a bunch of cowboys. Started off by being 4 hours late to the move which they did not communicate, brought someone else’s belonging to our move so they couldn’t fit our stuff and then had to come back. We moved interstate and they stored our stuff until will got to our new house. The day before the confirmed move date I called to see if everything was set but unfortunately I was told that Rick was in hospital and someone had died. Whilst I have compassion and empathy for that they did not let me know what was happening and I had to find out all the information by calling them. The move happened 4 days late but there was much confusion as the communication was the worst I have experienced. Just a call to let us know would have been good. On the day of the move there were 3 broken pieces of furniture and the washing machine which Rick flat out lied to my face that he had broken but then when challenged that he admitted fault. I actually moved a lot of stuff myself as I was afraid of breakage. The guy Rick brought with was spitting all over the drive. We came to the arrange he would pay me 300 dollars (cheap considering) in the way of compensation. Week 1 no money - it will be next week, week 2 no money - sorry it was funeral last week, week 3 no money - we have been delayed in being paid, week 4 no money - it will be coming. Jackie has a nice manner but Rick an aggressive liar I wouldn’t believe word they say. Dodged a lot calls texts and emails but were quick enough to ask for payment upfront. If your thinking MTL don’t bother do it yourself or get someone else.
