Dr Yona Josefsberg MBBS

After an entire lifetime suffering with undiagnosed adhd and seeing a slew of doctors who had diagnosed me with every psychological condition except this, dr Josefsberg was able to identify the issue after seeing her for several months back in 2019-2020. She knew that there was a relationship between drug misuse and adhd and didn’t judge me for it. She also understood that I wasn’t a drug seeker. I had previously been given addictive medications from other gps from all over the country ranging from tramadol to alprazolam. I understand that medicine is changing all the time and not all gps keep up with the latest options especially in this unique field of healthcare. I was assisted for opioid cravings and the doctor was proactive in adjusting my therapy as soon as a long acting injection was released as more effective or alternative treatment (compared to the expensive and time consuming horrible tasting suboxone strips that require so many embarrassing visits to the pharmacy - which, let’s be honest, can make things complicated and prone to abuse too). The doc knew what psychiatrists were receptive to patients in these circumstances and she has been so so supportive with helping me in legal issues about domestic abuse. For the first time in over 17years I have no desire to use any illicit substance. I only wish that I knew of doctors like this back in 2012 when my life fell apart. Dr Josefsberg is a rare find. There are reactions that have given negative feedback on here that sound vindictive and suspect. I encourage the reader to keep this in mind. Personal attacks on any health professional can be misleading. And I’m aware that the doctors’s location near st Kilda may be challenging. If you’re reading this because you actually want a solution, this doctor will actually be available 24/7 to help. It’s an incredibly challenging area of medicine to navigate and I am doubtful that many young doctors will take this route because of the risk of personal abuse to the doc by struggling addicts is so high. I just can’t say enough positive things. My journey has been horrendous and I lost almost everything. Thank you doc. I doubt you’ll read this but if it helps just one more person like me then it was worth the effort. (Patient since 2019) And she now does Telehealth!

I’m 47 suffered Cronic pain amongst other issues add a 25yr+clean drug history and finally a True Professional non judgemental who actually listened, done tests and finally a clinical diagnosis made, life’s no longer full of pain and looking better!! Eternally Grateful to Dr Yona, literally gave life back to me!!

Shocking....she is a doctor and still in practice. Charge people$250 for Sublocate but doesn't put them through the system. She is scam and fraudulent.
