      Hair Emporium is a unique personalised hairdressing salon offering some of the highest quality services and products to both men and women. We are conveniently located in Cheltenham, Victoria, directly opposite Cheltenham Station, and have been here for over 10 years, recently moving into our brand new premises.

      The team at Hair Emporium is highly trained in all aspects of hairdressing, ranging from colours to foils to perms to up-dos to cuts or just a blow wave, if that's what you're after. We pride ourselves in our work, as our salon boasts 25+ years' experience among the staff, and our foiling work is second to none! We also use premium products, like Matrix and Moroccan oil. On your arrival, you will be offered a real latte, flat white or cappuccino, or a nice cup of tea, if you prefer.

      Do I need to make an appointment?

      For a specific time required, it would be advised, otherwise we will endeavour to accommodate as close to the time you require. We can also arrange out of hours' appointments if necessary.


      How much for 1/2 head foils?

      Prices start from $50 dollars for short hair and regular appointments every 4-6 weeks. There is a small charge for longer hair. Most of our 1/2 head foils are $70.


      Are you close to public transport?

      Yes, we have recently relocated, just opposite Cheltenham train station.

      Added $130 in services without any consultation

      Booked to have my roots done and a trim/blow waive, was quoted $65 for roots plus another $65 for cut and blow waive. During the appointment I was advised toner is also required, no pricing is discussed however I thought it would be an additional $30ish as that's what I'd seen from their menu. Come to pay and it's suddenly my $130-150 hair appointment is now $260!!!

      Apparently double the amount of product was required however not once was this discussed, and the toner was an additional $70!

      When I tried to discuss with them my unhappiness that $130 was added without any consultation I was told tough luck, that was what was used.

      It was far more than I could afford and put me in financial difficulty, if I had of been consulted I would have advised I couldn't afford it and just would have opted for something cheeper.

      Ive been a regular client however now I'll never go back and will be taking this further.

      I hate when hairdressers gouge clients using these shady practices.
