Pho Bo Ga Mekong Vietnam

Mekong's been a very popular Vietnamese intuition on Swanston street for a long long time. Famous for having had some big names eat here, it's a rare day you don't see this place full. I can't help but feel that they're trading on hype and name alone though. The food is authentic, however it is by no means the best Vietnamese available in Melbourne. You'll find a much bigger range down on Victoria street in Richmond that can beat here. That said though, the food here is still fairly and given there are very few Vietnamese options in the CBD then Mekong is still worth a try.

This great little place is perfect for a quick and easy lunch. Known to us as 'Bill Clinton's (apparently he ate here at some stage). Food is always nice and service is generally good. Seems to be busy most days, so you have time it right in order to get a seat. One of the better places on Swanston.
