My husband's perfectly normal CTPA was read INCORRECTLY. The radiologist read a blur/artifact as a life threatening saddle PE. This lead to an awful week in hospital for no reason. It caused more harm than good. We called NR just to let them know what had happened, in the hope that it would be taken on board so that further training could be carried out. As we didn't want this to happen to anyone else. However the radiologist personally attacked my husband and made him feel awful. He didn't let us speak to the practice manager. Who we believe would want to know that this had happened, seeing that it is a business.

An independent radiologist read the scan that was done at Northcote Radiology. He said if an intern read it, they would have failed. Perhaps because the radiologist is 71yrs old, he has trouble changing the computer screens to look at the different angles and views. Maybe he's amazing at traditional x-rays. But certainly not CTPA scans. I hope that this message will get to the the right person so that this harm doesn't occur to anyone else.. Thank you.

Northcote Radiology's customer service is appalling. Their xray technique is below standard. They treated my elderly dad with so little respect that he was visibly shaken by the experience. And their practice manager did not even have the decency to deal with our feedback. Customer warning: DO NOT ATTEND THIS CLINIC.
