Huntingdale is a long, very challenging private course on land that is typical rolling links land. Long and tight and for many years the home of the Australian Masters, it is notable for the need to hit long irons to tightly bunkered, fast, elevated greens. After a lot of rain it stays dry because it is part of the famed Sandbelt golf zone which has light sandy soil that drains superbly. The trees across the fairway on the last hole is the only poor design feature. If you are considering this course you might also consider Metropolitan, Kingston Heath, Royal Melbourne, Victoria, and Yarra Yarra.
