Comet Battery Service

A few people i know recommended comet batteries and that convinced me to go there. I can tell you i have no regrets and i wouldn't go anywhere else. They are experts and are very knowledgeable in their line of work. Their customer service is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. Since then i have gone there a few times and i would highly recommend comet batteries to anyone.

Buyers beware,
These guys have hopeless customer service and have no regard for the people who put money in their pockets,
6 months ago I purchased a so called high quality $200+ battery from these guys for my E500 Benz only to be subjected to the embarrassment of getting stuck at the shops, due to not being able to start the car because of not enough kick in the battery,
So I brought the car back to these guys, After doing some tests, They told me there was nothing wrong with the battery,
I then took my car to a mechanic who specializes in Mercedes and he could not find anything wrong with the car, so we decided to install one of his batteries, the car was fine after that, So after a month or so I took the original battery I purchased from Comet back to them, they again tested it and claimed there was nothing wrong with it so they refused to give a refund, replacement or even honour the warranty for that matter, so I just left the battery there, (It was no good to me anyway
This happened last week and if you think that's bad
Today my mother in-laws C250 (which takes the same battery as mine) also needed a new battery, So I decided to do the test, go back to Comet, get them to install my battery (which didnt work in my car) and see if it had any problems if installed in her car, Much to my surprise when I went back they said they had thrown that battery away, (Yes the one they said there was nothing wrong with)
Anyway I proceeded to tell them that the car (my mother in-laws) needs a battery anyway so considering the circumstances, what can they do for me?
They then became offensive and started snapping back at me like as if I was being sarcastic or something, Then after a few minutes, when they finally realized that I wasn't, they offered me $40 off a new one and said that's the best they can do, I offered to go halves in a new battery and they wouldn't even do that.
