      Stromatolites are the number one attraction at Hamelin Pool. These ancient structures formed by organisms considered as some of the first living creatures on Earth are examples of what life on Earth was like 3.5 billion years old ago. Come stay with us and enjoy the local sights in Shark Bay. We are the cheapest accomodation in the area and the only ones with a pool - perfect to cool off in after a long day on the road.

      How to get to us?

      From the North West Coastal Highway, turn at Overlander Road House, in to Denham Road (Shark Bay), then keep along that road for 28.5 km to the park. Follow the sign for the Stromatolites and Telegraph Station, Turn right at the only paved/sealed road (Hamelin Pool Road) and follow it all the way to the end (5km). GPS coordinates : 26.401403 South, 114.165838 East

      Hamelin Pool Caravan Park is the closest accomodation and gateway to the Stromatolites. We are 200 meters from the Stromatolites.


      Do you have a shop?

      Yes we have a Tea room and souvenir shop. Anytime in the day, the tea room offers a large choice of milkshakes, delicious meals and breakfast, snacks, drinks and tea or coffee specialties.Original souvenirs and post cards are also available.
