What an appalling response from this fund today. We have been members for over 40 years and made a effort to support the fund because of its not-for-profit status and Kalgoorlie Goldfields base. Over almost 60 years I have been receiving partial payment from the fund for the replacement costs of an artificial eye which I lost in an accident as a 4 year old child in Kalgoorlie. They have now advised they will not cover any costs for the artificial eye!!!!! Further to this we recently (after a 9.5% increase in our premium) wrote to the Managing Director and requested an explanation for the excessive increase when most other fund premium increases were about 5-6%. My correspondence has been ignored and we still have had no response to my letter!!!!!
We DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FUND TO ANYONE!!!!!! Dianne Barker
