Blackburne Property Group

The worst property management group in Perth. 18 months of mismanagement compelled COO issue of "show cause" notice and termination of management contract. Handover revealed COO accounts insolvent with no notification of financial status received prior to or post termination. Be warned, stay away, legally incompetent and should not be permiited to operate.

An incident of a car break in and theft occurred on 27/8/2017. After considerable deliberation the strata company Blackburn claims to have provided video footage to the police. However they cannot justify under what Bye law legislation or resolution, footage cannot be provided to the individual owner as there are instances in the past where footage has been provided to individual owners to rectify situations where cars have been parked in wrong bays etc and minor matters. The logic of Blackburn in this instance is somewhat confusing.



It is naturally difficult to get evidence from the police and I spend considerable time and effort calling up and visiting the Perth Police station with little success. CCTV footage is actually collected by a couple of co owners and not an external company. Why should a few individual owners allowed exclusive access to privileged CCTV footage when all owners pay proportional strata levies. The situation does not seem to be just and equitable.

My friends car parked in my bay was broken into on 27/8/2017

The company refused to give me the video footage and claimed to have handed it to the police which is not true.They say the council of owners have decided this.

I checked with the police and they say they cannot accept evidence from a third party.

They (Blackburn) cannot supply a case reference number or any supporting details

Generally very lackadaisical and indifferent to client needs .



The Reference Number for the car break in incident on 27/8/2017 is 633349 on my side.

To date no video footage has been received by the police.

Any well meaning strata company keen on avoiding car break in incidents would immediately display a picture of the offender on the building notice board in order to deter some one from engaging in car breaking activity and it would look proactive . Unfortunately all that Blackburn wants to do is bill strata fees without assuming any ownership of these incidents.

A company that is just a Black mark on the strata industry.

Stay away from anything that has Blackburne name on it

Worst company and staff I've ever had to deal with. Project almost 12mth delay, rushed settlement month before building was ready, thousands lost in rent as no tenants would move into a construction site.

Post sale service is appaling to say the least, dozens of emails go unanswered, no returning of calls, for weeks, hundreds of dollars of frivolous and unsubstantiated charges slipped into strata management statements without prior consultation.

If you see BLACKBURNE on anything you are looking to rent, buy, lease - my advice is keep looking elsewhere.
