Can I Claim The Medicare Child Dental Benefit?

This is a Federal government-approved schedule that allows children under the age of 18 to receive free treatment up to a capped limit. It’s available if you satisfy federal government income guidelines. If you’re unsure about your child's eligibility, we can check it with Medicare when you come in for treatment.

What are the various dental concerns you deal with?

The various dental concerns we deal with are bumps, chipped teeth, discoloured teeth, dry mouth, gum diseases, infections, inflammation, etc.

Can I arrange a rebate through my health fund?

Absolutely. We want to make your experience as easy as possible, so we process your health fund rebate at the time of treatment. We don’t have any preferred health fund arrangements. Just make sure you bring your fund’s card with you, and we can deduct your rebate from the total cost on the spot.

What are your opening hours and how can I contact you?

We are open Monday to Friday with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (some earlier starts on Tuesdays/Fridays). Call us at (02) 6024 5266 or email [email protected] to book or enquire.

Is there parking?

Yes. You’ll find onsite parking at the rear of our building and plenty of street parking.

Do you offer specialist referrals if needed?

Yes. If your condition requires specialist treatment (e.g. orthodontics, oral surgery), we coordinate with a network of trusted specialists in the region and in metropolitan centres. Your Central Dental dentist remains involved in your ongoing care to ensure continuity and integration of treatments.

Is parking available at the clinic?

Yes — we provide onsite parking at the rear of our building, and there is additional street parking nearby. We aim to make access convenient for all our patients.

Do you accept the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)?

Yes — Central Dental Group participates in the CDBS. Eligible children (0–17 years) can receive up to $1,132 over two years for basic dental services including checkups, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, extractions and sealants (subject to eligibility and remaining benefit). Our staff can check eligibility before your appointment.

Do you offer department of veterans affairs dental care?

We offer treatment to DVA-approved patients, and we are able to claim the treatment costs directly with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
