Do I need a referral to see a therapist at Cairns Occupational Therapy Pty Ltd?
If you are a privately funded patient then you do not need a referral, though one is helpful. If you are needing to see a therapist at Cairns Occupational Therapy Pty Ltd and you are funded under a Team Care Arrangement/EPC, DVA, WorkCover QLD or a self-insurance unit or CTP Insurer then you do need a referral.
Is there a waiting list at Cairns Occupational Therapy Pty Ltd?
No, there is not a waiting list, we are usually able to make an initial assessment appointment within a few days for hand therapy and lymphoedema management completed at our office. We are very accommodating with appointment times and try to meet your needs as best we can. There may be a waiting time for services that need a particular therapist.
What will your services cost?
We work in conjunction with funding bodies such as WorkCover QLD, third party insurers, self-insured workplaces, NDIS, NIISQ and DVA. We also treat private patients who wish to receive the specialised services that are offered on a fee for service basis. Clients with private health insurance can often claim a rebate from their health fund for their treatment. There is always a gap fee with EPC.
